Sample Flip
One loop in, four flips out.

Drop in a sample, or pick a demo, and Sample Flip finds its tempo, key and Camelot code, slices it into up to 16 pads and sequences four chop patterns from those pads. Play the pads, audition the flips, download the kit or open the flips in the studio. The analysis runs in your browser: your audio is not uploaded.

How it works

From a sample to pads to chop patterns.

Give it a sampleDrop a WAV, MP3, FLAC, AIFF, OGG or M4A file; a loop of 1 to 8 bars works best. The BPM, key and Camelot code are detected, and the slices appear on the waveform. Adjust the onset sensitivity and the number of slices.
Play the pads and the flipsEach pad plays one slice of your sample. Four chop patterns are sequenced from the pads; set the pattern length, reroll the seed and audition each flip.
Download the kit or open in the studioDownload the kit as a ZIP of WAV slices plus a .mid file per pattern for your DAW, or open the chosen flips in the studio where the pads play as a drum kit.

Good to know

  • The kit download is always available and never counted.
  • The chop patterns are MIDI notes that trigger your slices, not re-rendered audio.
  • Only the first part of a long file is analysed; a tight loop gives the cleanest slices.
